From farm to shelf, brands collect substantial upstream data — farm origin, certifications, batch references, chemical declarations, logistics. It exists. The DPP starts here, but it stops at the point of sale.

Brand data ends at purchase.

The upstream supply chain is increasingly well-documented. After the consumer takes the garment home, the passport goes silent. That is the gap Oterri fills.

Footprint estimates are computed per-garment using the Higg MSI 3.0 material impact database, IPCC AR6 emission factors, and Water Footprint Network benchmarks for cotton cultivation. Energy data derived from mill-level declarations (Layer 01). Circular savings modeled against virgin material displacement using EU PEF Category Rules for textiles. Equivalents use DEFRA 2024 conversion factors.
